Darien's Opus For Person-To-Person Prepares For Platinum Ball Benefit
DARIEN, Conn. – Opus for Person-to-Person will host its annual spring fundraiser, “The Platinum Ball: Celebrating 20 years of Great Works,” on Saturday, April 30 at the Wee Burn Beach Club in Rowayton.
The Opus gala, which supports the Norwalk- and Darien-based Person-to-Person, celebrates the 20-year anniversary of Opus, a life-changing organization of women and charity, and will inaugurate the next 20 years of even greater works.

Edward James Pascocello, 73, Pearl River Resident
PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – Edward James Pascocello, of Pearl River, died Tuesday, Jan. 19 after a battle with cancer. He was 73.
He was born and raised in the Inwood section of Manhattan. Like his father, he retired from the Emergency Service Unit of the New York City Police Department. He was a member of the American Legion and Ancient Order of Hibernians of Pearl River. Many will remember him as “Coach” due to his many years of coaching basketball and baseball on both youth and collegiate levels.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Rosemary A. Medure-Collins, a White Plains resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 19. She was 69.
She was born Jan. 20, 1946, in White Plains to the late Peter and Catherine Medure. She was a graduate of White Plains High School, Rockland Community College and Pace University. She was a registered nurse for Dr. Daniel Cameron in Mount Kisco. She was a member of the choir at the Church of the Magdelene, where she taught CCD and was on the church council. FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Eugene N. DiGenio, of Fair Lawn, died suddenly Tuesday, Jan. 19. He was 48.
Born in Hackensack and raised in South Hackensack, he resided in Fair Lawn for 10 years. He was a parishioner of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Fair Lawn.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Dorothy I. Pardee, a resident of Wappingers Falls, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Elant at Wappingers Falls. She was 90.
She was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Fishkill to Anthony and Regina Santsaver Messerich.
On Aug. 7, 1947, she married Edward C. "Zip" Pardee at Zion Episcopal Church.
