James French, 91, Stamford Resident
STAMFORD, Conn. – James French, of Stamford, died Sunday, Jan. 24. He was 91.
Born Aug. 25, 1924, in Worcester, Mass., to James Sr. and Delia French of Killarney, Ireland, he had an incredibly full life, serving his country in combat, his church and his community and adopted home of 60 years, Stamford. In World War II, he served as a 1st Lt. Bombardier and Navigator in the 15th Air Force, flying dozens of missions over Italy, Germany, Austria and Poland in a B-17.

STAMFORD, Conn. – Cody Randall Thomas, of Stamford, died Saturday, Jan. 23. He was 27.
He was born in Stamford on Jan. 8, 1989, to Matthew G. Thomas and Anna Colacurcio Thomas. He was an English teacher at Staples High School in Westport.
He was a musician, poet, writer, mentor and altruistic educator. He was a graduate of New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Institute of Journalism, and had a master’s degree in education from the University of Connecticut.

Robert Kammerer, 78, New Canaan Resident
NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Robert Joseph Kammerer, business leader, mentor, friend, husband, father, avid golfer and grandfather, died Friday, Jan. 22 at Waveny Care Center in New Canaan. He was 78.
He was born March 29, 1937, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the youngest of five children of Roy and Sarah Kammerer. He attended local schools and DeLaSalle High School. He excelled in many sports and was an all-state player in basketball, baseball and football. He played basketball at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Minnesota, and graduated from St. Cloud University.

Richard Lawrence Nobile, 56, Greenwich Resident
GREENWICH, Conn. – Richard Lawrence Nobile, of Greenwich, died Friday, Jan. 22. He was 56.
He was born Sept. 13, 1959, in New York City, to Ralph and Christine Nobile. He held a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in film production from Boston University and was director of the audio and visual department of the Citicorp Conference Center in Armonk.
He had a love for music and was a respected musician who played the trumpet and flugelhorn.
He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Chrisitine; his brother, Vincent, and his wife, Karolin; and his niece, Mia Elisabeth and nephew, Niclas.
