He also was known as Rosney by his pigeon buddies.  He was born in Florida and raised by his late grandparents, Blanche and Charles Raska, in Hackensack.  He loved animals and was passionate about racing homing pigeons. His pigeons were his pets but he also had many other pets throughout the years, including chickens, raccoons and white doves. He was an entrepreneur and an expert on animals and pests. She was born in Scranton, Pa., to the late Thomas and Ella Kelly. She lived there for 12 years before moving to New Jersey. Born in Bonefro, Italy, he lived there for 22 years and Garfield the past 62 years.  He owned and operated A1 Cabinet and Woodworking Company in Garfield for 57 years and retired in 2010.
