Charles W. Kaczyk, 54, Saddle Brook Resident
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. – Charles W. Kaczyk, adopted son of the late Joseph and Lenora Kaczyk, and brother of William Raska, died Saturday, Feb. 20. He was 54.
He also was known as Rosney by his pigeon buddies.
He was born in Florida and raised by his late grandparents, Blanche and Charles Raska, in Hackensack.
He loved animals and was passionate about racing homing pigeons. His pigeons were his pets but he also had many other pets throughout the years, including chickens, raccoons and white doves. He was an entrepreneur and an expert on animals and pests. He started his business, Animal and …
Gennaro 'Jerry' Colombo, 84, Garfield Resident
GARFIELD, N.J. – Gennaro “Jerry” Colombo, of Garfield, died Thursday, Feb. 18. He was 84.
Born in Bonefro, Italy, he lived there for 22 years and Garfield the past 62 years.
He owned and operated A1 Cabinet and Woodworking Company in Garfield for 57 years and retired in 2010. He was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield.
He is survived by his significant other, Judith; and one son, Bartolomeo.
Visiting will take place from 2-5 p.m. Thursday. The service and entombment will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.

John Morris Crook, 99, Rutherford Resident
RUTHERFORD, N.J. – John "Jack" Morris Crook, of Rutherford, died Friday, Feb. 19. He was 99.
He was born in London, England, and came to the United States when he was 9 in the captain's care of the SS Olympia to reunite with his father, Morris Ashby Crook, at Ellis Island.
He originally settled in Jersey City, where he met his wife, Florence H. Crook (Roder), and moved to Rutherford in 1939. He was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Navy from 1941-45.

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – Charlotte A. Cully of Lincolnshire, Ill., formerly of Pearl River, died Friday, Feb. 19, after a battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 80.
She was a nurse at Nyack Hospital where she achieved the role of head nurse of the extended cardiac unit during her over 20-year career. She also worked as a nurse for A&T Healthcare at her retirement. She was a member of Pearl River United Methodist Church for more than 30 years, where she was the organist and also sang in the choir.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Jamie DePeau (Delzio), corporate chief marketing officer for Lincoln Financial Group, died Saturday, Feb. 20, of cancer at the Villa Marie Clair hospice in Saddle River. She was 56.
She was a longtime resident of Ridgewood and was born March 1, 1959, in Buffalo, N.Y., to James and Eleanor James DePeau.

Alberto Di Sisto, 89, Ossining Resident
OSSINING, N.Y. – Alberto Di Sisto, of Ossining, died Monday, Feb. 22. He was 89.
He was born Sept. 22, 1926, to Pedro and Carmela (Calandrello) Di Sisto in Sassinoro, Italy, where he was raised.
As a young adult, he lived in Montevideo, Uruguay, before moving to Ossining. He worked as a mason and contractor for many years. He was a husband, father and grandfather who looked forward to Sunday meals with his family. He started and ended his days in his vegetable garden, loved to fish, enjoyed playing bocce on Sundays and card games with his siblings on the weekends.

Robert A. Strunsky, 64, Mamaroneck Resident
MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Robert Strunsky, of Mamaroneck, died Saturday, Feb. 20. He was 64.
He lived nearly all his life in Mamaroneck. Known as "Harry," he was born on June 9, 1951, to Arthur and Irene Strunsky.
He attended Rye Neck High School, Westchester Community College and the Swedish Institute, and worked as a masseur.
He is survived by siblings David, Claudia, Cynthia, Allyson, Stephen and Peter.
His brother Paul predeceased him in 2014.
