Theresa Crowe, 83, Wyckoff Resident
WYCKOFF, N.J. – Theresa Crowe, of Wyckoff, died Thursday, Feb. 24. She was 83.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Wyckoff for 52 years. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church, Wyckoff, and a member of the Wyckoff Seniors. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Suburban Insurance in Fair Lawn.

Richard Komar Sr., 74, Lodi Resident
LODI, N.J. – Richard Komar Sr., of Lodi, died Tuesday, Feb. 23. He was 74.
He was an avid golfer, fisherman and enjoyed Western movies. He worked in his brother Butch's trucking company, Komar Trucking, for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Alice, of 49 years; his children, Rich Jr. of Lodi, Cathie and her husband, Manfred Steigans, of Lodi, John and his wife, Nikki, of Montrose, Colo., and Kevin and his wife, Mary Ann, of River Edge; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers of Butch and Bruce Komar.

HYDE PARK, N.Y. – Horton “Bucky” Tucker, of Hyde Park, died Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. He was 86.
He was born March 30, 1929, in Susquehanna, Pa., to Reed and Ruth Tucker. He was a graduate of Union Endicott High School in Vestal, N.Y., and served in the U.S. Army from 1946-48.
On Dec. 29, 1950, in Binghamton, N.Y., he married Susan Fabrizio.

GARFIELD, N.J. – Rose Giue (Martino), of Garfield, died Tuesday, Feb. 23. She was 79.
Born and raised in Toulon, France, she immigrated to the United States, lived in Belleville and settled in Garfield 48 years ago. She was a parishioner of Mount Virgin Church and a member of the ILGWU Passaic Local. Before retiring, she was a seamstress for several local dress shops in Garfield.

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Joan M. Sackal, 86, a lifetime resident of Peekskill, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, after a brief illness. She was 86.
Born Sept. 3, 1929, she was the daughter of Alexander and Margaret Lent. She was retired from the Peekskill City School system, where she was employed as a library aide, and more recently from Hudson Valley Hospital Center, where she worked as a technician in central services for many years. BUCHANAN, N.Y. – Hazel V. Vargo, of Buchanan, died Tuesday, Feb. 23. She was 98.
She was born Aug. 25, 1917, to the late Frank and Anna (Hrdlicka) Brennan in Peekskill. She worked for many years and retired from Readers Digest in Pleasantville as a billing clerk.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Polao; her son, Joseph Vargo; a sister, Jane Brown; a grandson, Matthew Vargo; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jason and Christopher Vargo; and many nieces and nephews.
