Morton Pincks, 86, Yonkers Resident YONKERS, N.Y. – Morton (Morty) Pincks, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Sunday, Feb. 21. He was 86. He was born March 7, 1929, in Yonkers, to Stanley and Dorothy (Sternbach) Pincks.  He received his bachelor's degree from Alfred University and upon graduation went to work for Olivetti Underwood.  In his retirement, he worked in Sternbach Furs, the family business. He was also deeply involved in Temple Emanu-El in Yonkers and in Scarsdale Synagogue Temples Tremont and Emanu-El. David Roberts, 79, Stamford Firefighter STAMFORD, Conn. – David L. Roberts, a former Stamford firefighter, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, after a battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 79. He was born to the late Leonard (Bert) and Alice Oestmann Roberts in Stamford. He married Nancy Giancola in July 1960 in Stamford. He was a graduate of Stamford High School, class of 1954.
