Jacqueline M. Verdon 73, Highland Resident
HIGHLAND, N.Y. – Jacqueline M. Verdon, a lifelong resident of Highland, died Monday, Feb. 22 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 73.
She worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie for many years up until her retirement.
She was born Dec. 23, 1942, in Kingston, the daughter of Gordon Baker and Linda Ellison Baker.
On Oct. 5, 1974, she married Robert G. Verdon in Rosendale. He predeceased her in 2005.

Linda Eloise Bethea, 61, Paterson Resident
PATERSON, N.J. – Linda Eloise Bethea of Paterson died Saturday, Feb. 20. She was 61.
She was born Sept. 5, 1954, in Paterson. She was the second of six children to the Rev. James and Ethel Bethea. She was educated in the Paterson public school systems, where she was a baton twirler in the Eastside High School Marching Band. After high school, she went on to work at the Passaic County Board of Social Services, where she started as a data entry clerk and was later promoted to supervisor. In June 2011, she retired after 35 years of service.

Maximino A. Nunez, 90, Bergenfield Resident
BERGENFIELD, N.J. – Maximino A. Nunez, of Bergenfield, died Monday, Feb. 22 at Hackensack University Medical Center. He was 90.
Born in Calape, Bohol, Philippines, he was municipal treasurer for the Philippine government and a veteran of the Philippine Army during World War II.
He was the husband of the late Maria C. Nunez; father of Eden-Zita Nunez-Mahilum, Lolita Nunez-Caladiao, Sol-Amelia Nunez, Grace Nunez-Acaylar, Annabelle Nunez, Maximino Nunez, Jr., Raul Nunez and Jesus Nunez. he alsi is survived by 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
