Maria Sanches, 84, Bridgeport Resident
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Maria Jesus Fernandes Sanches, a Bridgeport resident and widow of Joaquim Sanches, died Friday, March 25. She was 84.
She was born Sept. 15, 1931, in Beça Boticas, Portugal, the daughter of the late Damien and Ana Fernandes. She was a longtime resident of Bridgeport before moving to Cape Coral, Fla. She enjoyed the last years of her life near the beach, which she loved. She loved spending time with her family and friends, laughing, singing and dancing.

Laszlo Erdei, 73, Bridgeport Resident
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Laszlo Erdei, of Bridgeport, died Saturday, March 26 in Connecticut Hospice. He was 73.
He was the son of the late Sandor and Maria Erdei. He was born July 11, 1942, in Teglas, Hungary. He came to the United States in 1973 and settled in Bridgeport. He worked in the maintenance department of the Harvey Hubbell Company for more than 20 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing at St. Mary's by the Sea. He also was an avid gardener and cook, always making traditional Hungarian specialties.

Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium Offers Sensory-Friendly Mornings
NORWALK, Conn. — For some, The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is a place with too many stimuli. From Saturday, April 2 to Monday, April 4, the Aquarium is planning three special mornings to give guests with sensory-processing differences a fun, comfortable and accepting environment.
On each of the Sensory-Friendly Mornings from 8 a.m. to noon, lights in the Aquarium will be lower, and music and other sounds will be turned down or off. He was born in New York City to John T. and Ethel Dillon and was employed as a group circulation director for 30 years at G & J Publishing in New York City.

GARFIELD, N.J. – Gabriel Daniel Valos, of Garfield, died Sunday, March 20. He was 68.
Born in Passaic, he was a lifelong resident of Garfield. He was a police officer with the Garfield Police Department for many years before retiring, and he was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church.
He was the father of Valerie Rodriguez and her husband, Eduardo; grandfather of Eduardo Valentino Rodriguez; and brother of Daniel and Joseph Wallace.
