Irwin Kantor, 85, Former West Nyack Resident WEST NYACK, N.Y. – Irwin Kantor, of North Palm Beach, Fla. and formerly of Montauk, Manhattan and West Nyack, died Thursday, May 19. He was 85. He was a Korean War veteran. He was an expert on international and domestic tax law, a CPA, MBA and JD, and was former vice president of General Signal Corporation. After retiring from General Signal, he taught tax law and accounting at the graduate business school level. He also pursued his love of boating and fishing in both Florida and Montauk. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Kay) Rohs; his daughters, Linda, Sandra (Peter) and Jo-Ann; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. St. Vincent's College Grads Receive Degrees At Commencement Ceremony BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – St. Vincent's College in Bridgeport held its 2016 commencement ceremony on Friday at the Arnold Bernhard Arts and Humanities Center at the University of Bridgeport. St. Vincent's College awarded 179 degrees Friday, most of which were in nursing. Reverend Larry Fullerton gave the commencement speech. Fullerton is the executive pastor at Black Rock Congregational Church in Fairfield. His remarks addressed the responsibility caregivers have to make life better, particularly for those most in need.
