WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Iris Mae Davis-Grant died Saturday, May 21 in her home in White Plains. She was 63.
She was born July 29, 1952, in Swansea, S.C., to the late Thomas Livingston and Marian Davis. The widow of Joseph M. Grant Jr. of Mount Vernon, she graduated from Mercy College in 1975.
She had a 31-year career with the Department of Social Services in the Mandated Preventive Services, Child Protective Services, Housing and Homeless Services. LAKE PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Joseph Filingeri, of Lake Peekskill, died Monday, May 23. He was 55.
He was born Dec. 5, 1960, in Brooklyn, to James and Maryann Filingeri.
He is survived by his wife Kim; children, Joseph and Krista; his mother, Maryann; his father, James; two brothers; and one sister.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Columbanus Church, 122 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor. Interment to follow Rosehill Memorial Park.
William J. Markut, 69, Monroe Resident
MONROE, Conn. – William J. Markut, who was a Monroe resident for most of his life, died Tuesday, May 24. He was 69.
He was the husband of 48 years to Corrine (Anderson) Markut. He was born in Derby on Oct. 15, 1946, the son of Frank and Mary (Beres) Markut.
He was a union carpenter for P. Francini and Co. until retiring. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and received two Purple Heart Medals. After being discharged, he became a drill instructor for two years at Parris Island, S.C. He was a true outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and camp.

YONKERS, N.Y. – Henry S. Treulieb, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Monday, May 23. He was 93.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp in World War II and met his wife during his tour in France. After the war, he began a lifelong career with New York Telephone Company. He was a member and Sacristan at St. Eugene's Church, serving as a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus and a good friend to all.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Betty Elizabeth Alberta (Lines) Tostanoski, daughter of the late William A. Lines and Carrie F. Haviland Lines, died Wednesday, May 18 at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers. She was 86.
She was born Nov. 6, 1929, in the Bronx. Her family moved to Westchester County, where she resided for the rest of her life. She was a sales agent for Liberty Mutual for more than 20 years. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh and was an avid New York Yankees fan.

He was born in Flushing, New York, to the late James Joseph and Mary (Miller) Keavney. Reared in Brooklyn, he graduated from Fordham University, where he earned a doctorate in chemistry. While at Fordham, he met the love of his life, Constance Costich, a fellow graduate student in chemistry. He was born March 4, 1932. A Korean War veteran, he served on the USS Murray for four years in the U.S. Navy. He was best known for his love of history, ability to fix anything, positive outlook, sense of humor and love for his family.
