Anthony J. Peluso, 84, Yonkers Resident
YONKERS, N.Y. – Anthony J. Peluso Jr., a longtime resident of Yonkers, died Monday, May 23 following a brief illness. He was 84.
He was born Nov. 26, 1931, to Anthony and Catherine ( McIntyre) Peluso. He retired from CIT in Manhattan in 1987 as a senior vice president. He then went on to pursue a career reflective of his lifelong passion for marine art. He was an author, appraiser, guest curator, lecturer and marine art historian. Ruth Martin Wood, 94, Norwalk Resident
NORWALK, Conn. – Ruth Martin Wood, a lifelong resident of Norwalk and wife of the late Douglas A. Wood, died Sunday, May 22 at home. She was 94.
Born in Long Island, N.Y., the daughter of the late George and Marie Martin, she devoted her life to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil. She worked as a floral designer for Daybreak Nurseries, Village Flower Shop, Norwalk Florist and Richards Flowers among others.

John Henry McFadden Jr., 89, Fairfield Resident
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – John Henry McFadden, Jr., of Fairfield, died Monday, May 23 in his Fairfield home of 60 years. He was 89.
Born and raised in Bridgeport, he was just turning 16 when he enlisted in U.S. Navy during World War II, serving as a coxswain in a mobile amphibious unit assigned to the Pacific campaign leaving Australia and island hopping from Buna New Guinea to his final duty with the liberation of the Philippines. WESTPORT, Conn. – Actress, author and entrepreneur Melissa Joan Hart, best-known for her title roles in “Clarissa Explains It All,” “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” and “Melissa and Joey,” will present her kids clothing lines, Queen of Harts and King of Harts at a trunk show on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon at Kidville in Westport.

NEW CITY, N.Y. -- Katherine (Byrne) Jenks of New City, died Friday, May 20. She was 76.She was born June 1, 1940, in New York City, to Timothy Byrne and Elizabeth (Corcoran) Byrne.
She is survived by her husband, three children, four grandchildren, two brothers and her sister.
