Nearly $6,500 Raised For Animal Organizations At New Canaan Dog Days NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Pet Pantry Warehouse raised $6,475 for local animal rescue organizations, Strays & Others and Adopt-A-Dog, on Sunday, May 22 during the annual New Canaan Dog Days event. A total of $5,000 came from Pet Pantry Warehouse, including $500 from the New Canaan store location sales that day. In addition, several partners raised money at the event: Venture Photography of Greenwich contributed $1,125, Baskin Robbin New Canaan contributed $150 and Melt Mobile contributed $100. Archdiocese Closing Our Lady Of Sorrows In Garfield GARFIELD, N.J. – The Newark Archdiocese is closing Our Lady of Sorrows parish in Garfield as of Thursday, June 30. The archdiocese will continue to rent out its former Catholic elementary school and will try to rent the new church and the rectory, which is next to the old church. Our Lady of Sorrows parish is merging with Our Lady of Mount Virgin parish, also in Garfield.
