SADDLE BROOK, N.J. – Louise “Lily” (Rui) Gallo, of Saddle Brook, died Monday, June 13. She was 90.
Born in Bergen County, she had been a resident of Saddle Brook for the past 50 years. She was a parishioner of St. Philip’s The Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Saddle Brook.
She was the wife of the late Michael C. Gallo; mother of Michael Gallo, and his wife, Tracey, Elizabeth Breedveld, and her husband, John, and Barbara Del Vecchio, and her husband, Robert; and grandmother of Erin, Michael, John, Thomas, Justine and Marissa.

NORTH BERGEN, N.J. – Calvin E. Koch, of North Bergen, died Sunday, June 12. He was 90.
He was born in Jersey City. He received his bachelor’s degree from New York University's College of Commerce, Accounts and Finance. He graduated cum laude and was awarded the Beta Gamma Sigma Gold Key. He then received a master’s degree in education.
During World War II, he served three and a half years overseas with the 35th C.B. (Special Operations) 20th U.S. Navy Construction Regiment and received the American Theater, the Victory, Asiatic-Pacific Medals and two letters of commendation.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Elizabeth (Velthaus) DeSousa, of Fair Lawn, died Monday, June 13. She was 90.
Born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y., she resided in Fair Lawn for 58 years. She was a parishioner of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Fair Lawn, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Fair Lawn Live Wires. She enjoyed reading gardening, embroidery and spending time with family and friends.

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. – Jan Kulik, of Elmwood Park, died Friday, June 10. He was 84.
Born in Osmolowszczyzno, Poland, he came to the United States in 1976, and lived in Passaic before moving to Elmwood Park 40 years ago.
Prior to his retirement in 2011, he was a welder and mechanic for Vangurrd Plastics in Paterson for more than 20 years. He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church in Garfield.

TEANECK, N.J. – Lena A. (Buoncristiano) Guatta, of Teaneck, died Sunday, June 12. She was 97.
She was a retired teacher's aide for St. Anastasia School in Teaneck and a parishioner of St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of the Altar and Scapular Society and was active with the various functions of Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills.
