Letty I. Kroner, 83, Orangetown Resident
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. – Letty I. Kroner, of Orangetown, died Sunday, June 12. She was 83.
Born June 20, 1932, in Manhattan, to Goldie and Irving Israel, she was a member of the inaugural female class at the prestigious, all-male Bronx High School of Science. She was married to her husband, Herb, for 64 years.
In addition to Herb, she is survived by her children, Gregg (JoAnn), Ilene (Mitchell) and Evan (Wendy); grandchildren, Rachel Kroner, Sandra Colesanti (Michael), Robert Singer, Julie Singer and Jessica Kroner; nephews David (Elena) and Jonathan Kroner; and great-nephew, Michael Kroner.

GARFIELD, N.J. – Registration for fall sports at the Garfield YMCA opens Monday, Aug. 15.
The sports and schedules are:
Basketball beginner level (16, 45-minute classes)
Ages: 7-12
Session dates: Monday, Sept. 26 through Wednesday, Nov. 16
Place: YMCA, 33 Outwater Lane, Garfield
Cost: $60 for members, $80 for non-members
Requirements: Sneakers, shorts or sweatpants
Day/times: 7- and 8-year-olds – Monday and Wednesday at 6:10 p.m.; 9- to 12-year-olds – Monday and Wednesday at 7:10 p.m.

Everdina Deputato, 91, Ringwood Resident
RINGWOOD, N.J. – Everdina (Postma) Deputato, of Ringwood, died Tuesday, June 14. She was 91.
Born in Brunssum, Netherlands, it is there she met her husband, “Frankie” Deputato, an American soldier. Despite having no common language, love flourished, and they married. With her husband’s tutelage and her own facility for language, she was soon fluent in English. She had a love for reading and could always be found with one book in her hand and one ready to be returned to the library.
She is survived by her daughter, Lucy Leonard; grandson, Daniel; and many nieces and nephews.

Esteban Marasigan, 92, Clarkstown Resident
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. – Dr. Esteban Marasigan, husband, father and Lolo, died Friday, June 10. He was 92.
Known affectionately to his family as Bining, and later known as Steve, he was born Dec. 26, 1923, in Tondo, Philippines. He was the son of the late Nicanor and Petra Marasigan. He grew up in Inicbulan, Batangas, with his three brothers, Eliodoro, Nemesio and Ismael, and one sister, Pilar, all of whom are now deceased.
