Kathleen Veninger, 74, Elmwood Park Resident
ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. – Kathleen (Luzasky) Veninger, of Elmwood Park, died Monday, April 18. She was 74.
Born in Pittston, Pa., she resided in Elmwood Park the past 51 years. She was a registered nurse with the Heart and Lung Center of Hawthorne and a cardiac care nurse at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood before she retired in 2009.
She is survived by her mother, Kathleen Luzasky; two sons, John Veninger and his wife, Sandra, and Steven Veninger and his wife, Debra, both of Hewitt; brother, Ronald Luzasky; and grandchildren, Brittany, Steven and Shannon.

Patriot Bank Donates $40K In Furniture To Bridgeport Nonprofit
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Patriot Bank, N.A. donated $40,000 worth of furniture to the Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport, Connecticut’s only facility offering trauma-informed services and coordinated care in one place.
The donation for the center will alleviate expenses of up to $40,000, the equivalent of providing services to more than 735 victims of severe physical or sexual abuse. STAMFORD, Conn. – Neville Brown, of Stamford, died Wednesday, April 13. He was 68.
He was born Aug. 3, 1947, in Manchester, Jamaica. He worked as a taxi operator in Jamaica for many years.

SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. – Paul E. Murphy, of South Salem, died Saturday, April 16. She was 89.
He was the husband of the late Margaret (Scanlon) Murphy.

BROOKFIELD, Conn. – Geraldine (Geri) Hickey of Brookfield, died Sunday, April 17 at Candlewood Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Milford. She was 70.
She was born Feb. 27, 1946, in Manhattan, the youngest of five children. She spent her happy childhood years in Manhattan and Queens. She attended Cathedral High School in Manhattan, where she met her lifelong best friends, Mary Hickey Walsh and Jeanette Roque Thompson. She met her husband Thomas at age 16. They were married May 22, 1965, and were married for 26 years until his death in 1991 at the age of 51.
