Brien McMahon Named Among Best High Schools In Country
NORWALK, Conn. – Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk was named the 2,085th best high school in the country by U.S. News and World Report in its annual ranking Tuesday.
It was also named the 42nd best high school in Connecticut.

BROOKFIELD, Conn. – Brookfield High School was named the 963rd best high school in the country by U.S. News and World Report in its annual ranking Tuesday.

McKinley School Carnival Hits Fairfield Beach
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Annual McKinley School Carnival will take place Friday, April 22 through Sunday, April 24 at Jennings Beach in Fairfield.
The much anticipated town-wide event will run for three days, Friday, from 6-10 p.m., Saturday from 1-10 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. The carnival will offer traditional rides suitable for toddlers to adults among many other attractions, through the PTA’s ongoing partnership with Stewart Amusements.

Wilton Library Spreads Out Thousands Of Items For Annual Gigantic Book Sale
WILTON, Conn. – Books have been cleaned, sorted and polished for display, tables are being adjusted and fine-tuned, and final preparations are underway for Wilton Library’s Annual Gigantic Book Sale.
It will take place Saturday, April 23, through Tuesday, April 26, in the library’s gallery, Book Cellar and Brubeck Room.
With more than 70,000 items categorized in more than 50 subject headings, this sale is one of the biggest the Wilton Library has seen.

George D. Nuttycombe, 72, Ridgewood Resident
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – George D. Nuttycombe, of Ridgewood, died Friday, April 15. He was 72.
Born in Morenci, Ariz., and raised in Chloride and Tucson, Ariz., he resided in New York City prior to settling in Ridgewood 32 years ago.
He earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Arizona and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Ridgewood Baseball Association and was a coach for many years. He also was a troop leader of the Boy Scouts of America.
