Mary Dorothea Placella, 71, Danbury Resident
DANBURY, Conn. – Mary Dorothea (North) Placella, of Danbury, wife of Rocco N. Placella, Jr., died Wednesday, April 13 at Danbury Hospital. She was 71.
She was born in Norwalk on May 21, 1944, daughter of the late Jacob A. North and Edna Ells. She was a graduate of Bethel High School and worked for many years for Grolier in Danbury. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God in Brookfield for more than 35 years. Lorraine Landesberg, 88, Norwalk Resident
NORWALK, Conn. – Lorraine Landesberg, wife of William Landesberg, of Norwalk, died Thursday, April 14. She was 88.
Born in New York City on Nov. 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Manek Cisar.
In addition to her husband William, she is survived by her daughters, Linda Wagner (Peter) and Laurie Castellano (Thomas); stepchildren Lawrence, Regina and Michael Landesberg; grandchildren Matthew Castellano, Andrew Castellano and Jay Wagner; and step-grandchildren, Hannah and Eric Landesberg.
She was predeceased by her brother, Rudolph Cisar.

Frederick Arthur Billings, 84, Fairfield Resident
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Frederick Arthur Billings, of Fairfield, died Thursday, April 7. He was 84.
He was born in Hancock, Maine, on Dec. 20, 1931. He grew up in Seal Harbor, Maine, and was attached to Mt. Desert Island his entire life. After serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict, he graduated from the University of Maine and attended the University of Connecticut Law School. He retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Labor. STAMFORD, Conn. – Isabella DiCamillo, of Stamford, died Friday, April 15. She was 97.
She was born April 3, 1919, in Bridgeport. She was a graduate of Stamford High School and worked at Pitney Bowes for many years until her retirement in 1990. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish throughout her lifetime, active in many parish activities and a longtime secretary of Our Ladies’ Guild. She was a seamstress who made holiday and birthday dresses for her nieces as well as drapes, upholstery, bedspreads and bridal creations.
