Darien's John Osborn To Receive AAF's Barton A. Cummings Gold Medal Award
DARIEN, Conn. – Darien’s John Osborn, president and CEO, BBDO New York, and longtime supporter of the American Advertising Federation, has been named the 2016 recipient of the Barton A. Cummings Gold Medal Award.
Osborn will be honored with the award at the upcoming American Advertising Federation's annual national conference, ADMERICA, Tuesday, June 7 in Anaheim, Calif.

Viola Celia, 101, Fort Lee Resident
FORT LEE, N.J. – Viola (Boba) Celia, of Fort Lee, died Monday, April 18. She was 101.
Before retiring, she was a curtain manufacturer.
She was predeceased by her parents, Cosman and Eleni Boba; and her husband, Demetri.
She was the mother of the late Florence Darios; grandmother of Evda Darios and James Darios; and great-grandmother to five.
There are no visiting hours. A funeral service will take place at noon Thursday at Ascension Greek Orthodox Church, 101 Anderson Ave., Fairview. Interment will take place at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee.

Robert G. Blaich, 84, Former Peekskill Resident
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Robert G. Blaich, a lifelong resident of Peekskill, recently of Florida, died Saturday, March 26. He was 84.
He was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Peekskill, to William and Alice (Hunt) Blaich.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-52. On April 1, 1956, at Assumption Church in Peekskill, he married Wanda Jarlowski.
He worked for more than 30 years for the Peekskill Housing Authority. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Peekskill, the Centennial Hose Fire Co., the local Elks Lodge 744 and the Knights of Columbus Council 462. He was a leader for Boy Scout Troop 26 of Ass…

YONKERS, N.Y. – Christina Rusnak Maniotis, of Yonkers, died Monday, April 18. She was 30.
She was the daughter of Linda DeLello and granddaughter of Marilyn Himick.

Miriam Goldstein, 93, Mount Vernon Resident
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Miriam Goldstein, a longtime resident of Mount Vernon, died Tuesday, April 19. She was 93.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Milton; daughters, Carol (Bob) Horowitz, Arlene (Cliff) Gibbs and Donna (Gene) Spatz; grandchildren, Adam, Ian and Zach Gibbs, Erica Turner and Gregory Spatz, and Holly Hyman and Lee Horowitz; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will take place Thursday at noon at Sinai Free Synagogue, 550 N. Columbus Ave., Mount Vernon.
Caterina DePippo, 88, Eastchester Resident
EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Caterina DePippo, a longtime resident of Eastchester, died Monday, April 18, at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville. She was 88.
She was born Aug. 17, 1927, in San Sossio Baronia, Italy, to Enrico and Maria Antonia Frano Romeo. She came to the United States in 1948, and married Alfonso DePippo, that same year.
She was survived by her children, Rosetta (Kevin) McArdle, Marie, Henry, Alfonso (Kathy) DePippo, and her daughter-in-law, Judy.
She also is survived by 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her sisters, Elvira Castellano and Felicia Capodilupo.

Eleanor Fortunato, 86, Yorktown Heights Resident
YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Eleanor Fortunato, longtime resident of Yorktown Heights, died Sunday, April 17. She was 86.
She was born on June 21, 1929, in New York City to Joseph and Rose Pascuzzo.
She married Joseph Fortunato in 1953, and they lived in Yorktown for 52 years.
She worked for the Yorktown School District for 31 years, and retired in August 2015.
She is survived by her son, Robert.
Family and friends will honor her life Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Yorktown Funeral Home, 945 E. Main St, Shrub Oak.
