BEACON, N.Y. – Joseph F. Gibbs, of Beacon, died Sunday, Jan. 17, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. He was 82.
He was born on Nov. 20, 1933, in New York City, to the late Bernard and Margaret O’Reilly Gibbs.
He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He married Marjorie, “Bunny,” on July 18, 1959. He and Bunny moved to Glenham in 1971 to raise their family. NORWALK, Conn. – Reginald Andrew Cunningham, of Norwalk, husband of Josephine (Lodato) Cunningham for more than 58 years, died Sunday, Jan. 17 at the Waveny Care Center. He was 82.
Born in Stamford, the only son of the late Andrew Hay and Jeannie (Milloy) Cunningham, he served in the U.S. Army in Korea, and worked for a time as a printer, eventually retiring as a manager from United House Wrecking. Joseph Kaminski, 85, Lifelong Stamford Resident
STAMFORD, Conn. – Joseph H. Kaminski, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died Saturday, Jan. 16. He was 85.
A husband, father and friend, he was born in Stamford March 23, 1930, to Henry and Mary Kowalik Kaminski. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was a photoengraver for many years with the engraving division of McCall's Magazine. In 1970, McCall's closed and he took a job working for Graphic Color Plate and later at Wilbar Engraving of Darien. In 1985, he went to work as a general mechanic for the U.S. Post Office in Norwalk.

She was born Oct. 13, 1934, in Jersey City. She attended Dickinson High School. One of her greatest joys was preparing meals and serving them on a well-dressed table to her family and friends. She was an employee of Burnham & Co. in Englewood Cliffs for 35 years and worked full time to the age of 75.

Owen J. McClain, 90, Retired Yonkers Police Deputy Chief
YONKERS, N.Y. – Owen J. McClain, retired Yonkers Police Department deputy chief and lifelong Yonkers resident, died Sunday, Jan. 17. He was 90 years old.
He served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps veteran and saw action on the islands of Okinawa and Iwo Jima.
Upon returning from the war, he joined the Yonkers Police Department onSept. 1, 1949, and served for more than 36 years before retiring at the rank of deputy chief in 1985.
