Lena D'Intino, 101, Yonkers Resident YONKERS, N.Y. – Lena D'Intino of Yonkers died Sunday, Jan. 24. She was 101. She was born in Compobasso, Italy, on Feb. 1, 1914. She married Anthony D'Intino in 1939, and they celebrated 64 years together before his death in 2002. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Nicholas (Camille) D'Intino; and her daughter, Louise (Dominic) Morelli; grandchildren Nicholas Jr., Camille, Dominic and Michael; great-grandchildren Ashley, Alexa, Nicholas, Lucas, Natalie and James; and many other family members and friends. Ridgewood Police Remind Residents To Remove Snow From Cars RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – The Ridgewood Police Department reminds residents of “Ice & Snow – Remove It Before You Go.” The community is reminded to remove all ice and snow from their vehicles before driving, especially from the hood, windows and roof. It’s the law in New Jersey. Motorists who fail to do so face fines of $25 to $75 for each offense, regardless of whether the ice and snow is dislodged from the vehicle. If flying ice or snow causes property damage or injury to others, motorists face fines of $200 to $1,000 for each offense.

She was 66. She was born in LaCrosse, Wisc., on Aug. 19, 1949, to Robert and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Hagen.  She dedicated her career to health care as a registered nurse. In 1981, she began working at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers and retired in 2014. She volunteered for Mid-Hudson Animal Aid in Beacon and also pursued many hobbies.
