Thomas Shilen Jr., 56, Greenwich Resident
GREENWICH, Conn. – Thomas S. Shilen Jr., of Greenwich, died Monday, Jan. 25. He was 56.
Born March 23, 1959, to Thomas and Helen Shilen, he worked as a finance executive.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; daughters Jacqueline "Jacko" and Julia; son, Nicholas; his mother, Helen; brother John (Sheila); and nieces and nephew Cristin, Caitlin and Jonathan.
He is predeceased by his father, Thomas, and sister, Marilee.

Stanley Borucki, 96, Bridgeport Resident
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Stanley Borucki, of Bridgeport, died Tuesday, Jan. 26 at St. Vincent's Hospital. He was 96.
Born and raised in Bridgeport, he was the son of Walter and Anastasia Miloszewski Borucki.
He was a retired self-employed jeweler. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving from 1940 to 1946 in the Army Air Corps, where he received the Bronze Star for meritorious valor. He was a member of the Polish Heritage Society and St. Michael the Archangel Church.
He is survived by his nephews Jerome and Raymond Nalewajk, both of Stratford; and several cousins in Poland.

Mabel Marko, 90, Lifelong Norwalk Resident
NORWALK, Conn. – Mabel Marko, of Norwalk, died Sunday, Jan. 24 at St. Joseph Center in Trumbull. She was 90.
Born in Norwalk, she was a lifelong Norwalk resident. She was married to Andrew Marko for 51 years, and was the daughter of Alfred Harris and Mae Moore.
She had a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She also found great enjoyment playing cards with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Paula Brush and Virginia Marko; her grandchildren Kalvin and Shayna Marko, Shaun and Daniel Brush, and Michael Mennona; and many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen Homa, 66, Fairfield Resident
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Kathleen "Cathee" Homa, of Fairfield, died suddenly Monday, Jan. 25. She was 66.
She was born to Alexander and Amelia Homa and was a lifelong Fairfield resident. She was a mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed taking road trips to see the Red Sox, spending time outdoors and had a great love of animals. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Chessco Industries Inc. in Westport.

Mary Cantalini, 90, Longtime Stamford Resident
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Mary Cantalini, resident of West Hartford and a longtime former resident of Darien and Stamford, died Saturday, Jan. 23. She was 90.
She was born in Stamford on March 7, 1925, to Klyment and Fannie (Korsak) Markevich. She grew up in the South End of Stamford, attended Stamford public schools and graduated from Stamford High School with the Class of 1942.
She was a finance clerk who worked for the City of Stamford for over 30 years until she retired in 1990.

Jean Altizio, 90, Hopewell Junction Resident
HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. – Jean Altizio, of Hopewell Junction, died Monday, Jan. 25, at the Waterview Hills Nursing Center in Purdys. She was 90.
She previously lived in Hyde Park, Greenville, Mahopac, Valhalla and the Bronx.
She was born in the Bronx on Oct. 22, 1925, to Salvatore and Rose (Vaccaro) Pizzo.
On March 3, 1946, in the Bronx, she married Patrick R. Altizio.
She had worked as a dental assistant, hospital admissions clerk and later as a librarian in Greenville and Cairo. Along with her husband, Patrick, she founded the Higher Ground Christian Center in Greenville in 1982.
