Brother Frederick Louis Frick, 89, New Rochelle Resident NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Brother Frederick Louis Frick, of New Rochelle and a member of the Christian Brothers, died Friday, Jan. 29. He was 89. He was born May 4, 1926, in Butte, Mont., to Frederick Louis Sr. and Anne Florence Ginther Frick. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he graduated from the College University of San Francisco where he earned his bachelor’s degree. She was born in Corredoura, Portugal, on April 22, 1922. She grew up in Portugal and in 1966, she moved to the U.S. and settled in Yonkers. For many years, she worked at a local factory, and later for the Hudson View Nursing Home in Yonkers. She loved to cook and was famous for her colorful knitted blankets.
