Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum, 86, Former Scarsdale Village Judge SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Former Scarsdale village judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum died Friday, Feb. 5 at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital at the age of 86, reports the Scarsdale Patch. Cedarbaum was the judge who sentenced Martha Stewart to prison in 2004. She served as Scarsdale village judge from 1982-1986, according to the report. Born in Norwalk on March 6, 1922, daughter of the late Antonio and Victoria Macaluso, she was a lifelong city resident. She graduated from St. Joseph School and was a 1939 graduate of Norwalk High School. She earned an associate’s degree from Katharine Gibbs College. She retired as a librarian at Norwalk High School after over 20 years with the Norwalk School System. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
