Roger A. Roth, 80, Pleasant Valley Resident PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. – Roger A. Roth, of Pleasant Valley, died Tuesday, March 22 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. He was 80. He was born May 20, 1935, in Kingston, to the late William and Rita Roth. He grew up in Pleasant Valley. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1953. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in England from 1953-57. He worked for 38 years at IBM in Poughkeepsie before his retirement. In his younger days, he also was a bartender at the Stone Chimney, Talbots and Mike Cady’s in the Valley.  He belonged to the American Legion Post 739 in Pleasant Valley…

Born in Albany on March 6, 1922, she was a lifetime area resident. She was the daughter of the late John H. and Gertrude Foy Flinn. She attended Oakwood Friends School, Guilford College and Marist College, where she received her master's degree.
