Born in Albany on March 6, 1922, she was a lifetime area resident. She was the daughter of the late John H. and Gertrude Foy Flinn. She attended Oakwood Friends School, Guilford College and Marist College, where she received her master's degree. She worked as an accountant for the Hudson River Psychiatric Center and retired in 1988.  She was married to Joseph L. Kopser, who predeceased her on May 1, 1988.
