Barbara Ann Torbert, 78, former Resident resident
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, for Barbara Ann Torbert, of Lima, Ohio, formerly of Ridgewood.
Torbert died on Feb. 19, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was 78.
She was born on July 23, 1937, in Paterson, to Frank and Elizabeth (Marshall) Barker.
On Aug. 6, 1960, she married Mark William "Bill" Torbert.
She worked for CSS Publishing as a subscription/accounts manager and retired in 2011. She also assisted with the Welcome Wagon.

Joseph Soltysiak, 52, Poughkeepsie Resident
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Joseph Soltysiak, of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, May 23, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital. He was 52.
He was born May 24, 1963, in Yonkers, to Anatol and Olga Badarack Soltysiak.
On June 5, 1983, at St. Martin dePorres Church, he married Joan E. Sarubbi.
He was a local resident most of his life. He was a graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School and attended classes ar Dutchess County BOCES.
He was a retired carpenter who worked for Local 19 of the Carpenters Union. He then went on to work for the Dutchess County Department of Public Works.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Cora Mae Overby, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, May 21, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was 64.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1952, in Newark, N.J., to Rena Smith (birth mother) and her parents who took care of her, James and Lorraine Patterson.
She graduated from Dumbar High School in Salisbury, N.C. Her compassion for others led a journey to work for individuals with disabilities. She was employed by Greystone Programs for many years, and continued on with Abilities First until retirement.

NORTHVALE, N.J. – Ann M. Benardelli (Claps), of Northvale, formerly of the Bronx, died Wednesday, May 25. She was 99.
She worked in the garment industry in New York City for many years and was a “fitter to the stars,” working with many famous celebrities.
She was the mother of Carolyn Di Meglio and her husband, Joseph, of Northvale; grandmother of John Di Meglio and Kara Gee and great-grandmother of four.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rocco Benardelli; and brothers, Ludwig and Frank Claps.
