Barbara Ann Torbert, 78, former Resident resident RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, for Barbara Ann Torbert, of Lima, Ohio, formerly of Ridgewood. Torbert died on Feb. 19, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was 78. She was born on July 23, 1937, in Paterson, to Frank and Elizabeth (Marshall) Barker. On Aug. 6, 1960, she married Mark William "Bill" Torbert. She worked for CSS Publishing as a subscription/accounts manager and retired in 2011. She also assisted with the Welcome Wagon. He was born May 24, 1963, in Yonkers, to Anatol and Olga Badarack Soltysiak.  On June 5, 1983, at St. Martin dePorres Church, he married Joan E. Sarubbi. He was a local resident most of his life. He was a graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School and attended classes ar Dutchess County BOCES.  He was a retired carpenter who worked for Local 19 of the Carpenters Union.
