Darien YMCA Gymnasts Score Big Wins At Regionals DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien YMCA gymnasts took on more than 1,000 competitors with great success at the 2016 YMCA Northeast Regional Gymnastics Championship held last month in Manchester, N.H. The Level 3s and 5s won Team Championships and nine gymnasts won individual All Around (AA) titles for their age group and level. The Level 3 gymnasts bested 32 teams to win the team championship. She was 74. She was born on Oct. 26, 1941, to Joseph and Ray Saroken. She was the mother of Stacie (Mike) Heinke, Gregg Proietti and Jodi Proietti; sister of Gerald Saroken; aunt of Dana, Joseph, Brian, Rafi, Holly, Harlan and Andrea; and grandmother of Danielle, Chelsea and Michael Heinke.
