HACKENSACK, N.J. – Beatrice C. Oropallo Avitable, a lifelong resident of Hackensack, died Tuesday, June 14, at Holy Name Medical Center. She was 95.
Prior to retiring, she and her husband owned Avitable Bakery in Hackensack, Bergenfield and Ortley Beach.

TEANECK, N.J. – Robert Leonard Wilson, 77, of Torrington, Conn., formerly of Teaneck, died Saturday, June 11, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. He was 77.
He was born in Teaneck on May 19, 1939, to H. Leonard and Marie Evelyn Wilson. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and served on the U.S. Navy's first guided missile cruiser, the USS Boston as a radioman. After the Navy, he worked in the commercial construction business, rising to the position of contract acquisition and job specification manager, and served a term as president of the industry's National Association.

LODI, N.J. – Catherine “Red” Patire, a lifelong resident of Lodi, died Monday, June 13. She was 88.
She is survived by her brother, Charles, and his wife, Eleanore, of Saddle Brook; sister-in-law, Phyllis Patire, of Clifton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters.

Danbury Man, 75, Sent To Prison For Drug Trafficking In Fairfield County
DANBURY, Conn. – A 75-year-old Danbury man was sentenced Thursday to 108 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for trafficking narcotics, according to Deirdre M. Daly, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Alfred Catino, also known as “Alphonse Catino,” “Frank Ross,” “Frank Russo,” “Anthony Vitacco,” “Chico,” “the Old Man” and “Herbie,” had been detained since his arrest on May 8, 2012, for heading a narcotics trafficking ring that distributed oxycodone, cocaine and marijuana in Fairfield County, Daly said.
