Popular Barber Closing Shop In Fairfield After 61-Year Run A barbershop on Route 1 is closing its doors after being in business more than half a century. The original owner of Barber Serville on 1426 Post Road in Fairfield, Joe Vaccarella, confirmed the news to Daily Voice by phone. The shop has to vacate the storefront because the new property owners "want us to move," said Vaccarella. His daughter, Ann Marie Bennett, is the current owner of the business which employs two other barbers who will now be looking for new jobs, according to Vaccarella. The business operated in its current location since 1965.
