Mount Laurel Man Killed After Being Ejected From Car In Turnpike Crash ID'd: Njsp A 72-year-old Mount Laurel man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County on Tuesday, April 15, authorities said. At 3:59 p.m., a Freightliner semi-trainer and a GMC terrain were traveling southbound on the New Jersey Turnpike in Mansfield Township when the GMC struck the rear of the Freightliner, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Man Had Booby Trapped Semi-Automatic Rifle On Amtrak Train To Trenton: New Jersey AG A 34-year-old Florida man was arrested and hit with numerous weapons charges on Wednesday, April 16, after he boarded an Amtrak train to Trenton with a booby trapped semi-automatic rifle earlier this year, authorities said. 9-Year-Old Girl Killed In Newark Fire, Two Children Hospitalized: Prosecutor A 9-year-old girl was killed in a fire in Newark on Wednesday, April 16, authorities said. The girl was one of eight children who lived at the home on Astor Street, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. She was taken to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 2 a.m., authorities said. Two other children were injured and taken to area hospitals, authorities said. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation, authorities said.

Little Ferry Man Possessed BB Gun, Knife Outside Church: Police A 29-year-old Little Ferry man was arrested and charged on Monday, April 14, after he was found with a knife and a BB gun outside a church in Palisades Park authorities said. At 6:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at First Street and E. Edsall Boulevard and located Minseuk Jung standing out the Presbyterian Church of New Jersey at 500 Broad Ave., Palisades Park police said.
