Ossining's Cedar Lane Park Pavilion Receives New Lights With $50K Grant OSSINING, N.Y. – Ossining received a $50,000 state grant to repair damage to the Cedar Lane Park pavilion caused by Superstorm Sandy, reports the Northern Westchester Examiner. The grant, announced Thursday, Dec. 10 by Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester), Town of Ossining Supervisor Sue Donnelly and Town Foreman Mario Velardo, was used to purchase and install new LED lights, The Northern Westchester Examiner said. Barroso Caridad, 93, Bergenfield Resident BERGENFIELD, N.J. – Barroso Caridad (neé Dedric), 93, of Bergenfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 30. Caridad was born in Havana, Cuba. She was employed as a dressmaker at Bridals by Columbia in New York City. She is survived by her children, Maria Fernandez, Mercedes Hooper, Rosa Barroso, Caridad Barroso and Isabel Almonte (Frank); and four grandchildren.
