Mary Zakett, 88, Formerly Of Ossining Mary T. Zakett, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and and Ossining native and 34-year resident of Yorktown, died Tuesday, Jan. 5 at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center. She was 88. Born March 17, 1927, in Ossining, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia Tobin MacElroy. She is survived by her sons, Donald, David, Bruce and Glenn Zakett; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Adam Zakett; a daughter, Susan Travis; and three brothers. Mahopac Resident Charged In Yorktown With Falsely Reporting Assault YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A Mahopac man was arrested Monday and accused of falsely reporting to police that he was being assaulted and on charges of driving while on drugs, reports the Yorktown Police Department. Police arrested Steven Vicario, 22, for falsely reporting an incident in the third degree after they were called to an assault in progress at around 8:42 p.m. Vicario was also operating a vehicle while impaired by drugs, according to police. He was released on $80 bail to a family member and is due in Yorktown Justice Court Thursday, Feb. 4, according to officials.
