Save The Date For Shelton School Talk On Attendance SHELTON, Conn. -- Parents are invited to a lecture on school avoidance, attendance and truancy in Shelton Public Schools on Wednesday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m. Representatives from the Youth Service Bureau will lead the discussion as part of their “Valley Parent University” series.  The location will be announced at a later date. He was born in a displaced persons camp in Feldafing, Germany. His parents, Nathan and Fanny Lazinger, were Holocaust survivors. He came to Bridgeport with his parents in 1948, and attended Elias Howe Elementary School, Bassick High School and Norwalk Community College.  He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve for many years.  He operated a family-owned business, Nathan's Men's Shop.
