Gilda Salamone, 95, Harrison Resident HARRISON, N.Y. – Gilda Mazzucca Salamone of Harrison died Monday, Feb. 29. She was 95. Born Nov. 25, 1920, she was a lifelong resident of Harrison. She worked at Sound Federal Savings Bank in Mamaroneck as vice president. She retired in 2006. She was a member of the Harrison Columbiettes. Survivors include her daughters, Suzanne Giannotti and Mildred Anderson; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Marie Allegretti; and many nieces and nephews. He was born Nov. 8, 1925, in Yonkers, to Giuseppe and Antoinette Paolicelli. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Essex during World War II. He was a part of VFW Post 8328 in Yorktown Heights for many years. He was active in his children's lives and coached Little League.
