Mark Auriana, 81, Stamford Resident
STAMFORD, Conn. – Mark L. Auriana, of Stamford, died Saturday, March 5 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital in New York. He was 81.
He was born in New York City on Sept. 6, 1938, to the late Frank J. and Jean Spina Auriana. He was a proud graduate of Regis High School in New York City, Manhattan College and earned a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from CUNY. He was a private pilot, a lifelong car enthusiast and a vintage car racer. He was also a member of many clubs and organizations, including the AOPA, VSCCA and NSRA. Rafael Velez, 72, Bridgeport Resident
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Rafael Velez, of Bridgeport, died Friday, March 4. He was 72.He was born in Havana, Cuba on July 23, 1943. He was married for 51 years to his wife, Dora Velez.
He will be remembered for being a great chef and his renowned empanadas. He would captivate those around him with stories of his travels all over the world and was never short of wise and virtuous teachings.
He is survived by his wife, Dora; brother, Jorge; two sons, Carlos and Miguel; and four grandchildren, Miguel, Otton, Carlos and Laura.

Richard Joseph Post, 40, Hawthorne Resident
HAWTHORNE, N.Y. – Richard Joseph Post, of Hawthorne, died Sunday, March 5. He was 40.
He is survived by his wife, Rhina-Rene; children, Joseph and Rina; parents, Marian and Jack Post; and sister, Jacqueline Post.
Visitation will take place Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon with a funeral service following at noon at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave., South Broadway, White Plains. Interment will take place at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla.

LODI, N.J. – Dariel J. Ramirez, of Lodi, died Wednesday, March 2, at Hackensack University Medical Center. He was 5 years old.
He was a kindergarten student at Roosevelt Elementary School in Lodi. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church of Hackensack.

Kathleen Tuohey, 73, Midland Park Resident
MIDLAND PARK, N.J. – Kathleen Tuohey (Molino) of Midland Park, died Thursday, March 3, at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. She was 73.
She was a daughter of Frank and Antoinette Molino.
She lived in Union City, were she was born, and then Waldwick before moving to Midland Park in 1972. She was a 1960 graduate of Ramsey High School. She was a parishioner at Church of the Nativity, Midland Park. She worked for 28 years at Sharp Electronics in Mahwah, and attained the position of manager. She retired in 2004.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Mildred E. Peters, of Poughkeepsie, died Wednesday, March 2 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 92.
Born Sept. 9, 1923, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Frederick E. and Jemima Robinson Decker.
On Jan. 14, 1946, at Holy Trinity Church, she married Francis J. Peters and they were together for 39 years until his death in 1985.
She was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Peter's Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel. She was an avid contest seeker and winner entering many contests throughout the years and getting the whole family involved.

FORT LEE, N.J. – Arsena Jebejian, longtime resident of Fort Lee, died Wednesday, March 2. She was 95.
She was the mother of Toros Jebejian (Marlene), Avedis Jebejian (Alice), Annie Basha, Sonia Souvalian, and Mania Tovmasian (Thomas); sister to Jack Demirjian (Astghig); grandmother of 11; and great-grandmother of six.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leon.
