Muriel Frances Pierce, 87, Bridgeport Resident
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Muriel Frances Pierce, of Bridgeport, died Saturday, March 5. She was 87.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late John and Beatrice Folks Boages, she had been a resident of Bridgeport since 1960. She was employed as a lunchroom attendant for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education at Walterville Elementary School for 10 years. She was a former disciple of Messiah Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Richard Elliott of Bridgeport; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.…
Edward A. Trombley Jr., 86, Hyde Park Resident
HYDE PARK, N.Y. – Edward A. Trombley Jr., a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, March 5, at Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley Broadway Campus in Kingston, N.Y.. He was 86.
He was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Kingston, to Edward A. Trombley Sr. and Sara Fennedy Trombley.
He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a communicant of Regina Coeli Church and a former member of its Men's Club and Golf League. He worked for Johnson and Williams in Pleasant Valley as a draftsman for 25 years, and he was previously a draftsman for IBM Poughkeepsie.
In 1959, he married Kathryn Strickland in Beacon.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Philip E. Garcia, of Bridgeport, husband of Doris Gaskin Garcia, died Tuesday, March 1. He was 70.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, on Oct. 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Walter and Estelle Edwards. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired after 30 years of service as an air traffic controller.
He is survived by his stepson, Jamar (Tonya) White; three special cousins, John Williams, Vernon Williams and Jyl Williams-Holland; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Jack T. Stark, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died Monday, March 7, at Greenwich Hospital. He was 78.
He was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Greenwich, to Amy and Andrew T. Stark. He was educated in Port Chester and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1955.
After high school, he attended Northrop Aeronautical Institute in Inglewood, Calif. On Nov. 7, 1959, he married Sally Ann Santora at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester. He worked as a production engineer on government defense contracts for various companies before his retirement in 2012.

OSSINING, N.Y. – Sister Katharine Razwad, an educator and counselor, died Friday, March 4 at Boston Medical Center following surgery. She was 93.
She was a Maryknoll Sister for 70 years. Adele Catherine was born in Boston on June 23, 1922, to Katharine Zaltauskos Razwad and George J. Razwad. She had one brother, Alphonse J., and three sisters, Blanche, Frances and Martha.

Born Jan. 26, 1932, in Greenwich Hospital to James P. and Francis Galvin Burns. She was a lifelong resident of Stamford. BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Rodel Glover Wagner, of Bridgeport, died Thursday, March 3. She was 100.
Born in Sumter, South Carolina, to the late James and Rachel Smith Glover, she had been a resident of Bridgeport for nearly 70 years. She was a retired custodian with the City of Bridgeport. Her spiritual needs were met as a former disciple of Bibleway Fountain of Youth Ministries where she served as a missionary.

She was born in Woodville, Mississippi, on Nov. 22, 1933, to Aaron and Rosa Moore Bethley. She was a childcare provider for many years.

WESTPORT, Conn. – James R. “Nuge” Nugent, a lifelong resident of Westport, and husband of the late Doris J. Nugent, died Sunday, March 6 at the Carolton Convalescent Home in Fairfield. He was 93.
He was born in Westport on Oct. 16, 1922, the son of the late John and Anna (Gregory) Nugent. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during WWII and fought at the Battle of the Bulge.
