Paul DiSabato, 58, Mount Vernon Resident MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Paul A. DiSabato, of Mount Vernon, died Saturday, June 18. He was 58. He was born Dec. 31, 1957, to Anthony and Rosemarie (Carfano) DiSabato. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1975-81. He worked as truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Local 456 for 23 years. He also was a member of the American Legion. He was born Feb. 24, 1917, in Ossining, the son of the late Michael and Catherine (Minniti) Tavano. He was a graduate of Ossining High School's Class of 1935. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and served throughout Europe. He worked for the U.S. Post Office in Ossining for 36 years and retired as a superintendent. Clifton Cub Scout Pack Constructs Donation Box For Troops CLIFTON, N.J. – Clifton Cub Scout Pack 21 constructed and donated a collection box to Clifton Cares for the troops Wednesday, June 8. Approximately two months ago, pack leader Michael Klinger decided to bring Cub Scout Pack #21 to the Clifton Cares packing night and, impressed by the activities at Clifton Cares, was encouraged to help. This was the first time many of the Scouts used a hammer or nails, but with Klinger’s supervision, the group has filled a requirement for a community project.
