Man Shot, Killed In Newark, Police Say A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in Newark on Tuesday, March 8, authorities said. Sharique J. Ray was shot on Huntingdon Terrance, said Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara. Ray, of Newark, was pronounced dead at 8:52 pm., authorities said.
