WILTON, Conn. – Wilton Library’s “Hot & Cool: Jazz at the Brubeck Room” concert lives up to its name when Wilton resident Arthur Lipner performs with Brasilian Vibes on Saturday from 7:30-9 p.m. Along with Nanny Assis and vocalist Vanessa Falabella, Lipner will set the room on fire with his infectious interpretation of this celebrated South American sound. Lipner and Assis released “Brasilian Vibes” in 2010, which was nominated for “Album of the Year” by the Brasilian Press Awards. WESTON, Conn. – Special Olympics Connecticut will hold its 2016 southern time trials, presented by GE, at Weston High School and Middle School on Saturday, May 21, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with opening ceremonies taking place at 8 a.m. This annual event will give athletes of all abilities from the region opportunities to compete in track and field and aquatics and tennis. FAIR LAWN, N.J. – George G. White Middle School teacher Michael Rosenberg won the 2016 NSDAR New Jersey State Outstanding Teacher of American History Award. He received the award Saturday at The Polly Wyckoff-David Demarest Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution’s 90th anniversary celebration.
