Beyond Limits Teaches Finance Fundamentals To Youth In Stamford
STAMFORD, Conn. – The Beyond Limits Academic Program, a program of Stamford Peace Youth Foundation, recently introduced a four-part workshop on financial literacy to Stamford youth.
Taught by Samantha Cross, founder of Square One Financial Education and a financial literacy educator for the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, the sessions cover a wide range of topics, including: earning money and financial goal setting, budgeting, credit reports and scores, stocks and bonds, investing and student loans.

STAR Walk & Run In Westport Raises $90K To Help People With Disabilities
WESTPORT, Conn. – More than $90,000 was raised at the 11th Annual STAR Walk, 5K Run and Roll event held last month at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport.
The event benefits individuals who have intellectual disabilities and programs offered by STAR Inc., Lighting the Way. The charity serves Norwalk, Westport, Darien, New Canaan, Wilton, and Weston.
