Mark Vincent Of Somers, Marketing Professional For Northwell Health, Dies At 49
Husband and father Mark R. Vincent of Somers, a marketing professional at Northwell Health, died Saturday, Aug. 10, at age 49, of multiple myeloma.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1969, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, to Brian and Patricia Vincent.
He received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Western New England University and a master’s degree in finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
On Oct. 9, 1993, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary (Munn). In addition to Mary, he is survived by two boys, Sean and Ryan.

Man Arrested For Robbing 7-Eleven In Holbrook
A man has been charged for robbing a 7-Eleven in Holbrook, according to Suffolk County Police.
Kevin Chieffo, 42, of East Patchogue, reportedly entered 7-Eleven on Monday, Aug. 12 just after at 6 p.m. at 796 Broadway Ave., and pretended to make a purchase, said police.
When the employee opened the register, Chieffo allegedly reached in to grab cash, according to police.
The female employee attempted to stop the man and the pair struggled before Chieffo was able to break free and flee with cash, said police.

David Segrue, of White Plains, a popular teacher in Rockland, died Saturday, Aug. 3, at age 50.
He was a special education teacher and resource consultant for the North Rockland School District for 25 years. He was born on June 4, 1969, in Flushing, New York, to Carolyn (nee Lipton) and Daniel Segrue.
He loved the theater, art, music, high-end shopping, the beach, dinner with friends and family, traveling, and laughing. He was also a voracious reader, says the obituary.

Three Men, Woman Charged For Violent Robbery Near Elmont Deli
Three men and a woman are facing charges for an alleged violent robbery near a deli in Elmont, according to police.
A man, 20, and woman 19 entered the Elmont Deli at 237-01 Linden Boulevard Wednesday, July 31 at 3:30 a.m., according to the Nassau County Police Department.
After leaving the store, the two went to their vehicle which was parked on 237th Street, said police.
Shortly after entering the vehicle, two unknown men allegedly approached the driver’s side door and opened it, according to police.
