ICE Nabs Man Convicted Of Sex Crimes In Jackson: Authorities A Mexican man previously convicted of a sexual offense was arrested by immigration enforcement earlier this month in Jackson, officials announced on Thursday, April 17. Ramon Cruz, who was living in the United States illegally, was apprehended on Tuesday, April 8 by Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers and FBI Newark, federal authorities said. Cruz was found guilty last May of criminal sexual conduct in Ocean County Superior Court, ICE officials said. He remains in ICE custody, officials said.

Brockton Man Struck In NJ Drive-By Shooting, Transports Himself To Hospital: Police A 47-year-old Massachusetts man was shot in a drive-by shooting on the early morning of Sunday, April 20, authorities said. The man, a resident of Brockton, had been attending a gathering on the 100 block of Walnut Street, Bridgeton police said. Upon leaving the party, the man walked to his car, which was parked in an adjacent lot, police said. Driver Hits Lakewood Cop Going 106 MPH: Prosecutor A police officer is in critical condition after a 20-year-old Lakewood man ran a red light and crashed into his car while going 106 miles per hour on Saturday, April 19, authorities said. Man On Tracks Survives Being Struck By NJ Transit Train In Bound Brook: Officials A man trespassing on train tracks in Bound Brook was hit by an NJ Transit train on the evening of Sunday, April 20, authorities said. At 10:30 p.m., the train struck the man near the Cedar Avenue crossing in Bound Brook as it was approaching the Dunellon station, NJ Transit said. Serial Burglar Busted Taking Money From McDonald's Donation Bin: Marlboro PD A 30-year-old West Creek man was arrested and charged on Saturday, April 19, after he was caught stealing from a McDonald's donation bin in Englishtown, police said.
