Man Found Dead In Woods: Bridgeton PD A man was found dead in a wooded area of Bridgeton on Saturday, April 5, authorities said. At 8:50 a.m., a passerby reported seeing a man partially submerged in a retaining well at East Commerce Street east of East Lake, Bridgeton police said. The area is frequented by homeless people, police said. The man, a Latino possibly in his 30s, has not been identified, police said. An investigation determined the victim frequented homeless areas of the city, police said. The cause of death remains under investigation however there were no apparent signs of assault or foul play, police said.
