Carmel's Nothern Smoke Wins 'DVlicious Best Barbecue In Putnam' CARMEL, N.Y. -- Northern Smoke BBQ has the best barbecue in Putnam, at least according to Daily Voice readers The Carmel restaurant won our contest with 64 percent of the vote. All of Northern Smoke's cuts are hand-butchered and freshly smoked, according to Owner and Pitmaster Chris DeRuzzaI. Walter's In Mamaroneck Wins 'Top Dog' In DVlicious Contest MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- For the second year in a row, Walter's Hot Dog Stand is the winner of our DVlicious "Best Hotdogs in Westchester" contest. Southbound BBQ In Chestnut Ridge Wins 'Best Barbecue' In Rockland SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. -- Southbound BBQ in Chestnut Ridge has the best barbecue in Rockland, at least according to Daily Voice readers. The eatery won with 45 percent of the vote. It was a tight race with Taino Smokehouse in Spring Valley getting 43 percent.
