Francis X. Orlando, 91, Wood-Ridge Resident
WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. – Francis X. Orlando of Wood-Ridge died Wednesday, May 25. He was 91.
He was born in Cliffside Park. He worked at Bergen Drug for 40 years and had been retired for 26. He was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jocelyn (Rinaldi) Orlando; his children, Francis Jr. (Linda), Cynthia Ferda (Joseph) and Peter Sr. (Lisa); seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Joyce, in 1972.

Norwalk Sailor Prepares To Set Sail In Atlantic Cup Race
NORWALK, Conn. – Ed Cesare, of Norwalk, will compete in the 2016 Atlantic Cup, presented by 11th Hour Racing. The race is starting in Charleston, S.C., on Saturday, May 28.
The Atlantic Cup is the longest offshore sailing race in the Western Atlantic and is the U.S.’ only short-handed offshore race dedicated to the Class 40. It is also the most environmentally sustainable sailing race in the U.S.
After kicking off in Charleston, it stops in Brooklyn, N.Y., from Tuesday, May 31, to Saturday, June 4, and finishes in Portland, Maine, on Saturday, June 11.

St. Jude Fundraiser, Connecticut Salsa Fest Returns To Stamford
STAMFORD, Conn. – The Seventh Annual St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Fundraiser Gala will take place on Sunday at the Stamford Marriott Hotel and Spa from 6-10 p.m., in conjunction with Connecticut Salsa Fest.
To date, the fundraisers have raised more than $100,000 for patients at St. Jude's.
