Huntington Man Who Attacked Lirr Conductor Receives First Transit Ban In MTA History A man who pleaded guilty to sexual abuse for attacking a Long Island Rail Road conductor has received the first-ever transit ban in the history of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The MTA announced on Friday, Nov. 18, that Michael Harewood agreed as part of his sentence for third-degree sex abuse that he is banned from using the LIRR for two years. Hudson Valley Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Utility Pole, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed a vehicle into a utility pole, causing a fire on the road. Officers in Rockland County responded to a fire on North Main Street in Hillcrest that broke out overnight between Friday, Nov. 18, and Saturday, Nov. 19, the Town of Ramapo Police Department reported. Police Seek 3 Men Accused Of Stealing $550 Speaker From Hauppauge Store Authorities asked the public for help identifying three men who are wanted for stealing a speaker from a Long Island store. Three men stole a speaker from P.C. Richard & Son in Hauppauge, located at 2095 Express Drive North, on Friday, Nov. 4, Suffolk County Crime Stoppers reported on Monday, Nov. 21. Trio Charged After Officers Find Handgun In Vehicle In Bethpage, Police Say Three men are facing weapons charges after police reported they were found in possession of a handgun on Long Island. Passenger Dies, Multiple Drivers Injured In Chain-Reaction, 5-Vehicle Crash In CT A man died and three other people were injured in a five-vehicle chain-reaction crash in Connecticut.
