A drug investigation sparked by an anonymous tip led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of heroin, crack cocaine, and cash from a Paterson apartment, Passaic County Sheriff Thomas Adamo announced.
The tip came through the department’s Tip-Hotline, reporting illegal drug activity from Apartment #6 at 50 Colonial Ave., Adamo said.

A two-week investigation into an assault led Fair Lawn detectives to a major drug bust that turned up 17 pounds of marijuana, more than 900 Xanax pills, and two machetes, police said.
The search happened on Friday, April 11, around 7:30 p.m., when Detective Anthony Lugo and the Fair Lawn Police Detective Bureau executed a search warrant at a residence on Pellington Drive, according to Sgt. Eric Eleshewich.

Keri Dolores Mancini, a yoga instructor and Bergen County native, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 14, 2025, according to her obituary on the Becker Funeral Home website. She was 41 years old.

A Colombian national has been indicted for assaulting a U.S. immigration officer during a violent arrest attempt in New Jersey, federal prosecutors said.
Hector Villegas-Alvarez, 27, was identified by ICE deportation officers on Feb. 23, as being in the United States without legal immigration status, according to U.S. Attorney Alina Habba.
When officers attempted to arrest him, Villegas-Alvarez physically resisted and “forcefully elbowed one of the ICE deportation officers in the face,” according to court documents.
