Monroe Detective Celebrates Promotion MONROE, Conn. -- The Monroe Police Department had an occassion to celebrate amid difficult times in law enforcement in recent months. Monroe Police Detective Matthew Muccioli was promoted to the rank of sergeant Monday, July 18. Writing on the Monroe Police Department's Facebook page, officers congratulated Muccioli on his promotion. "Please join us in congratulating Detective Matthew Muccioli on his promotion to the rank of Sergeant. Best of luck in future endeavors Sergeant Muccioli," said Monroe police.

Stamford Mayor Stresses City's Diversity In Leaders Conference Presentation STAMFORD, Conn. – Mayor David Martin made a presentation at Smart Growth America’s Local Leaders Council Policy Forum on Monday, July 18 to Tuesday, July 19 in Washington, D.C. Avoid The Heat At Cooling Centers In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. -- With a heat wave currently in the area, Stratford residents are reminded that all municipal buildings are available as cooling centers during normal business hours. Additionally, all Stratford fire stations (Main Street, Oronoque Lane, Lordship and Huntington Road) are designated as cooling centers. Any resident seeking a respite from the heat may go to a local firehouse to get some relief. All residents are asked seek out the station officer who will guide them where to go upon arrival.

Tracy Yogman Appointed Finance Commissioner In New Rochelle NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Tracy Yogman has been selected as New Rochelle's new commissioner of finance.
