Danbury Concert Chorus, Symphony Orchestra Performs At Wcsu
DANBURY, Conn. – The Danbury Concert Chorus, conducted by Christine R. Howlett, and the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, directed by Ariel Rudiakov, will perform “Sing Gloria!” on Sunday at 3 p.m., at WCSU Westside Campus in the Visual and Performing Arts Center.
The concert, part of this year’s celebration of the Danbury Music Centre’s 80th Season Anniversary, features celebratory music such as Vivaldi’s “Gloria,” Haydn’s “Te Deum” and Beethoven’s “Choral Fantasy.”

Dr. Michael D. Meszaros, 49, Westport Resident
WESTPORT, Conn. – Michael D. Meszaros, M.D., of Westport, husband of Mary Atkinson Meszaros, died suddenly on Monday, May 2. He was 49.
He was a loving father who dedicated his life to family, friends and all who needed his medical care as a radiologist with Advanced Radiology.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Saint Luke Church, Westport.

Stamford Woman To Be Honored At Gala For Decades Of Work At Shelter
STAMFORD, Conn. – Stamford resident Patricia Phillips will be honored at the Shelter for the Homeless Rays of Hope Gala on Friday, May 6 at 6 p.m. at the Italian Center of Stamford.
Nearly 35 years ago, Phillips, along with Leslie Furst, Maureen Hughes, Nancy Stoetzer, and the Rev. Gary P. Brown, founded the Pacific House emergency shelter, which still operates today, serving the communities of Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan and beyond.
