Fairfield Rotary Welcomes 2 New Members FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The Fairfield Rotary Club inducted two new members at a recent meeting at the Gaelic American Club. New Rotarians are Jennifer Ewald, of Fairfield University, and the Rev. Peggy Hodgkins, the rector of Southport's Trinity Episcopal Church.  On hand for the ceremony were the Rev. Hodgkin sponsors Ed Michaels and John Lee, and Ewald sponsor Debbie Clancy, as well as current Rotary Club President Oscar Recalde.

Connecticut State Police Collecting Wheelchairs For Chariots Of Hope BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — State Police Troop G in Bridgeport will join other state troopers across Connecticut on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in collecting wheelchairs for Chariots of Hope’s 17th annual “Day of Wheels.” Chariots of Hope is a Connecticut-based, nonprofit organization that collects used wheelchairs to refurbish and distribute them to people in need around the world.  There are nearly 20 million children and adults around the world who could make use of the wheelchairs that now sit idle in people’s attics and basements.
